I like to view design from the perspective of Beauty and Functionality meeting Business and Income generation, Efforts meeting Profit and a dissatisfied user meeting satisfaction in an ideal product.
This is the point where I don't identify as a designer - I identify as a user, I go practically down the mind of the users and feel what they do feel using certain products. I also get feedbacks from other users to understand exactly what they feel.
This is where I give user pain points a name, I define user dissatisfactions in clear terms and generate a very specific problem statement.
At this point, I think like a creative, looking at the problem statement, what features, what product or section tweaks can solve the problem, its all about making users satisfied while also providing value and making profit.
Interesting aspect of my design process, I create visual interfaces, taking into consideration the product Ideas generated and solutions in view.
